  1. READING LIST: 34 items
Please note that this is a post-graduate module based on the ability to synthesize information, as well as to be able to challenge information, and critically discuss the variety of views adopted vis-à-vis each topic examined. Hence, the sole reading of textbooks is only the bare minimum for the course, and may not be sufficient for a genuine understanding of the topics examined. Along with textbooks monographs, and book chapters, you should be able to find and consult, journal articles, regional/ international bodies’ reports, regional bodies’ jurisprudence, and a variety of other materials regarding the specific issues examined in each Seminar, as indicated in the relevant handouts for each seminar. * Remember that you should do the reading and work on the seminar questions in advance of each seminar. * You are strongly adviced to take ALL RESEARCH SKILLS surgeries available in both terms. Strong research skills ( i.e. ability to find material on legal databases, ability to search for regional instances’ jurisprudence etc ) are absolutely necessary for this module. * Formative assessments (i.e. not affecting your final grade) will be available throughout the module, in both written and oral format. You are strongly advised to take these assessments, as these will substantially improve your written and oral skills and you will also allow you to see where you stand, in terms of performance.
